Brian Hamilton brought his first project as a producer to Omnifilm in 1994, a TV pilot that was broadcast and ordered to series through a unique “audience vote” process where viewers sent in their votes by fax. Since then, he has executive produced more than 90 television projects in both scripted and non-scripted genres, becoming a partner in 2001 and CEO in 2025. In addition to providing strategic oversight, Brian leads Omnifilm’s original development and service production slates across both Scripted and Non-Scripted content. As Executive Producer, his non-scripted programming credits include Must Love Dogs (10 x 30 for CBC), Transplant Stories (4 x 60 for Knowledge Network), Bush Wreck Rescue (10 x 60 for Discovery Channel), and Make Some Noise (13 x 30 for CBC), which won the Gemini for Best Youth Non-Fiction series, as well as the Shaw Rocket Prize and the Japan Prize for Youth Programming. Brian’s primetime drama credits include The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco (8 x 60 for Britbox, ITV, CITY-TV, and Netflix), Primeval: New World (13 x 60 for Space, ProSeiben, and UKTV); CBC’s Arctic Air (39 x 60), Defying Gravity (13 x 60 for CTV, BBC, ProSeiben, and ABC), and Robson Arms (39 x 30 for CTV and Comedy Network). In the kids and family genre, Brian recently executive produced 44 episodes of Gabby Duran & the Unsittables, in addition to the limited series Fast Layne for Disney Channel, two seasons of MECH-X4 for Disney XD, and the feature film Kim Possible also for Disney Channel. Brian is the founding Chair of the Pacific Screenwriting Program, a non-profit that provides professional development to BC-based screenwriters. Brian is a past Chair of the BC Branch of the Canadian Media Production Association and served for ten years on CMPA’s National Board. Brian holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and received his television training from the Banff Centre for the Arts.

Gabriela Schonbach is Partner and Chief Strategy Officer at Omnifilm Entertainment. Over the past 25 years, Gabriela has overseen original non-scripted development and production as well as co-managed the distribution and scripted divisions at Omnifilm. She has produced or executive produced over 270 broadcast hours of factual, comedy, and drama programming, as well as distributed Omnifilm’s original shows to linear and digital channels across the globe, attending multiple domestic and overseas markets to represent Omnifilm’s premium catalogue. She has also produced many hours of wellness programming, including the three series Strong, Namaste Yoga, and Shimmy for OneTV and Discovery Health. Among other credits are Bush Wreck Rescue and Jade Fever for Discovery, Transplant Stories for Knowledge Network and the long running series Ice Pilots for History Channel. She executive produced three seasons of Wild Bear Rescue for Animal Planet Canada and US. She was an EP on three seasons of the CBC drama Arctic Air, featuring Adam Beach, and on Primeval: New World, a 13 x 60 sci-fi drama series for SPACE, SyFy, UKTV and ProSieben. Gabriela began her career working in photojournalism in Washington, D.C. after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Michael Chechik has been an independent producer and director of television since 1975. He has recently served as an executive producer on several one-hour documentaries about the grizzly bears of Northern Canada, the documentary series Transplant Stories for Knowledge Network, Bush Wreck Rescue for Discovery Canada, Jade Fever for Discovery Canada, and Wild Bear Rescue for Animal Planet. Previously, Michael executive produced six seasons of the popular documentary series Ice Pilots NWT for History; three seasons of the CBC flagship drama series Arctic Air; and Primeval: New World, the North American spin-off of the UK hit drama series Primeval, for Space; as well as five seasons of the acclaimed wildlife series Champions of the Wild. Michael was also one of the executive producers on Defying Gravity, a 13-part drama set in space and produced with Fox Television Studios for ABC, CTV, Space, BBC, and ProSieben. Michael’s four-hour miniseries Dragon Boys, a CBC drama about Asian criminal gangs, was the recipient of two Gemini Awards: Best Dramatic Mini-Series and Best Writing in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series. His work also includes the popular 65-episode syndicated teen drama Edgemont which ran for five seasons on CBC, aired on ABC Family Channel and Starz Encore in the US, Channel 5 in the UK and many networks worldwide. He executive produced the children’s television series The Odyssey, which broadcasted in over 60 countries and was the recipient of numerous awards, including an International Emmy Award nomination and a Gemini Award for Best Youth Program in Canada.

Eli Sullivan is responsible for all corporate and production finances, accounting and taxes, as well as operations and HR. He has been involved in such hit series as Ice Pilots NWT for History and CBC’s flagship drama series Arctic Air. A CPA and CMA with 17 years of entertainment industry experience, Eli was a corporate controller for Network Entertainment prior to joining Omnifilm.

Cathy is a producer and production executive who has worked in the entertainment industry in both animation, scripted, and unscripted content, since 1989. After having worked in the Vancouver animation community for more than fifteen years as an Artist, Producer, and Production Executive on well over 25 animated film and television programs, and another three years at Telefilm Canada as an Investment Analyst for Feature Film, Cathy has put her knowledge and expertise to work at Omnifilm Entertainment for the last 14 years. Cathy remains active in the entertainment community, as a council member for the CMPA- BC branch, member of the BC branch Industrial Relations Committee, the CMPA Documentary Working Group, and CMPA Member Development & Services Committee. She is responsible for overseeing and negotiating all deals with talent, buyers, and financiers for Omnifilm’s slate of projects from early development through to distribution.

Brendan joined Omnifilm Post in 2012, bringing more than 20 years of audio and video post production management experience to his role as Head of Post Production. Between creating Post workflows, managing projects, tech support, and R&D, he enjoys diving deep into the 4K and beyond Post abyss. Brendan ensures great experiences for clients and employees, delivered with a smile.

Daniel Wan has extensive experience in developing and delivering factual and documentary content for various platforms and audiences. He specializes in science, popular natural history, true crime and access-driven follow docs in the sports, music, law enforcement and ‘dirty jobs’ spaces. Having started his career at the BBC in London, he has since worked successfully with networks and streamers such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, National Geographic, Discovery, A&E and CBC, as well as clients in the museum/cultural sector and immersive tech (VR/AR) industry.

Sophie Morgadinho has over 15 years of experience leading factual, documentary, and unscripted series for major networks and streaming platforms, including Netflix, A&E, Fox, Paramount+, and Corus Entertainment. A former VP of Production, she is recognized for her strategic oversight and collaborative leadership on projects such as Hoarder House Flippers, Hip Hop My House, and Ness Murby: Transcending. Sophie is passionate about building empowered teams and producing meaningful content that connects with audiences worldwide. As Director of Non-Scripted Production, Sophie oversees all aspects of non-scripted development and production, including budgeting, crewing, logistics, management, and the successful delivery of all legal and financial milestones.

Amanda Giannakos is driving Omnifilm’s evolution into digital media, with a particular focus on developing its premium yoga lifestyle brand Namaste TV. With her background in marketing, production, and law, Amanda is uniquely suited to both the business and creative aspects of her role in crafting partnerships with emerging digital talent and platforms. Amanda also oversees the design and management of brand assets, as well as all marketing and publicity initiatives. Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia, and lives in Vancouver, Canada.
